Roman serves as our Associate Youth Pastor, helping lead and teach our youth while also preaching, leading worship, assisting with communion, and filling in for our pastor when needed. He also serves as a lay speaker at other churches and is involved in our Adult Bible Study and Men’s Breakfast Bible Study. At heart, Roman is a teacher who loves helping others understand Scripture and what it looks like to truly live out their faith. His favorite part of ministry is talking about how loving God is—sharing examples from Scripture and his own life while hearing the testimonies of how others have experienced God’s love for themselves.

Roman and his wife, Caitlin, have been married since May 24, 2018. Together they have two cats, a Siamese named Pancake, and an orange tabby named Miso. They began attending our church in early 2022 and joined the church through baptism on July 17, 2022. He joined our staff on June 1, 2025, and was ordained as an Associate Pastor through AIM later that month. Roman is currently studying at Wesley Biblical Seminary and hopes to continue his education through the doctoral level. He and Caitlin are also preparing to move to Japan as missionaries in late 2027. Roman is especially excited about introducing the Japanese people to Jesus and one day hearing the stories of those who have come to know Him and seeing the ways God is working in their lives.

Outside of church, Roman is a hardworking, lifelong learner, and determined DIY-er. He's a firm believer that nearly anything can be fixed without paying someone else to do it. He enjoys working on his Honda Civic, even if it means running back to the store to get that one part he probably should have gotten the first time. He's always willing to try something new and loves sushi—especially eel—as well as ramen and fried rice. He’s also an unapologetic chocoholic and long-time Spider-Man fanatic.

At home, Roman is goofy, patient, movie nerd. He loves watching shows and anime and can easily turn watching a movie into a deep dive into theories and discussions afterward. To satiate his need for chocolate, he enjoys Oreos, chocolate chip cookies, mocha coffee, and a nearly daily glass of chocolate milk (despite his lactose intolerance). He enjoys 3D printing, drawing, and reading Christian books and biographies. He also loves to sing, although admittedly being a little tone-deaf, and if someone leaves too many lights on around the house, there’s a good chance you’ll hear him singing, “All of the lights in the house are on,” by Trace Adkins as a friendly reminder that electricity does, in fact, cost money.
